The first piece of fascia wrapping the edge of the layout.   It is coated masonite for use in kitchen backsplashes.   The first control pod and a control dimmer for the overhead lighting are mounted in the fascia.   After securing the fascia to the benchwork with countersunk screws and construction adhesive, I shape the top edge to match the terrain contour with a small handsaw and rasp.
